2021 WSSC Lighthouse Challenge UPDATED 8/20/21 - NEW COURSES!

Please see REVISED Sailing Instructions R2
In response to comments from racers, we have made the following changes:
.
1) Race Courses have been adjusted:
a) Start line moved to WNATR "S" Buoy to avoid weeds
b) Start Times pushed back 15 minutes to allow for extra travel time (1st Horn 11:15 am)
c) D33 Shallow water crossing eliminated
d) "Long" and "Short" Course groups have been created to account for light winds.
e) There are Now 4 starts: Spinnaker A, Spinnaker B, JAM, Cruiser.

All changes are documented in the Sailing Instructions.
New Course Cards have been posted to NOR for the (4) new courses
.

4:30 pm Afterglow is still on schedule including Dinner, Awards, Silent Auctions, and Raffles.

Join us for the 2021 Lighthouse Challenge, now racing in CANADIAN WATERS!
Courses have been changes to take advantage of the Canadian Border opening up to pleasure boat "Looping"
.
NEW courses to include a Buoy at the Center buoy location from past WNATR Canadian courses.
Spinnaker Approximately 13.2 nm
Jam Approximately 11.8 nm
Cruiser Approximately 8.7 nm
.
Start Times pushed back 1 hour. 1st start at 11:00 am
.
Updates NOR, SI & Entry Application on Notice of Race

Race entry fee*: $35 (WSSC Members) $40 (non-Members)
(Late Fee $10) Includes Race & Awards (presented at Water’s Edge Pavilion)

Dinner 4:30 p.m. ($12.00) at the Grosse Ile Township Pavilion
(located behind Smokies on the Water, Grosse Ile, Mi)
Soft Drinks and Water provided
.
Gift Basket, Raffle Tickets and Silent Auctions
all proceeds to benefit:
Grosse Ile Community Sailing Foundation.
